EAFO Basic Medical Courses

EAFO's Basic Medical Course is considered as its Flagship Project

The EAFO Basic Medical Course has become a tradition for Eurasian Federation of Oncology. Thanks to the special interest and dedication of more than 70 experts from the fields of oncology and allied disciplines from Russia, Belarus, India, Ukraine and European Union.

Despite great advancements in medicine, cancer is still quite often diagnosed at advanced stages. That is why EAFO wants not only oncologists, but also those who would first see the cancer patients – young doctors in non-oncologic disciplines and students to have a good understanding of the basics of oncology. Moreover, this event might be very useful as well for professionals working in medical industry dealing with oncology.

To participate in this course on a competitive basis we annually select young doctors of non-oncologic specialties under 35 years old, students (after 3rd year curriculum) of medical, dental, pharmaceutical, medico-biologic faculties; molecular biologists and other young scientists interested in cancer research. Those who successfully qualify pay a symbolic fee and majority of expenses are covered by EAFO grants.
